This personnel lift operator safety training course is a focused operations and safety training for operators.

A certificate is awarded by Cranes 101.

All MEWP varieties (Personnel Lifts, Boom Lifts and Scissor Lifts) are covered in this class.

Material covered in this course:

•     Personnel lift maneuvering
•     The mechanics of the personnel lift
•     Daily inspections
•     Fuel/Electric storage
•     ANSI and OSHA standards
•     Safe practices
•     Proper care and maintenance
•     Physics 101
•     Suspension trauma  
•     Working near power lines

There will be extensive hands on review of the equipment used at the job-site. Our trainer will go over proper pre-use inspections as well as proper set up. Please ask us about adding on equipment qualifications at the job-site. 

This training meets or exceeds all requirements of OSHA 1910.67 and ANSI A92.22.

OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to equipment specific safety training, OSHA requires operators to be evaluated on the equipment they operate.  While this can be done by a supervisor, most of our customers prefer a 3rd party evaluation.  Operators receive a certificate as well as a wallet card which includes the make, model and serial number of the equipment they were tested on.

We offer hands-on qualification on various types of equipment including forklift, MEWP, bucket trucks and mobile cranes.  We can provide the evaluations with or without a safety training class, but recommend holding both on the same day – safety training class in the am, lunch break, qualifications in the afternoon.
